Chocolate Spinach Strawberry Smoothie Bowl
Chocolate Spinach Strawberry Smoothie Bowl is a perfect naturally sweeten breakfast recipe to start a day with. Adding cocoa to smoothies is always a good idea – it gives completely different taste to it!
This one is one of my absolute favorites! If you don’t like to eat spinach but you still want to incorporate it into your diet the best way to do it is to make a smoothie or smoothie bowl with it. Adding fruits, cocoa powder, and maple syrup will mask the spinach flavor. You’ll be eating spinach with absolutely zero spinach flavor whatsoever.
Always experiment with topping ingredients. I added raw cacao nibs for extra chocolate and crunchy flavor, a few slices of strawberry, and coconut flakes. Raw cacao is magnesium and iron-rich food full of antioxidants. It even helps with weight loss. Yes, you heard it right! By eating pure cacao nibs you get lots of fiber and feel fuller!

INGREDIENTS (Smoothie)
- 1 cup (145 g) fresh strawberries
- 1 cup (30 g) fresh spinach
- 1.5 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon hemp hearts
- 3 tablespoons rolled oats
- approx 1 fl oz (30ml) dairy-free milk (more or less depending on how thick you want the smoothie to be) or water
TOPPING (Optional)
- 1-2 strawberries
- 1 tablespoon coconut flakes
- 1 teaspoon of cacao nibs
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add all smoothie ingredients (strawberries, spinach, cocoa powder, maple syrup, oats, hemp hearts, and dairy-free milk (or water)) to a blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Transfer everything to a bowl.
- Add all of the topping ingredients
