Canned Tuna Pasta
Prep time: 5 min   Cook time: 15 min   Total: 20 min   Servings: 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 3.5 oz (100 g) uncooked Fusilli pasta
  • 4-5 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2.8 oz (80 g) canned tuna fillet
  • 4 fresh cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Cook Fusilli pasta: Add fresh water, about 1 liter, in a large pot and bring it to boil. Add pasta. We don’t use salt or oil here. Stir the pasta. Test occasionally. Cook for about 7-10 minutes to be done. When done drain.
  • Strain cooked pasta. Save 3 tablespoons of pasta water. Add pasta and pasta water into a medium-size saucepan, or use the same pot where you previously cook pasta.
  • Put the saucepan over medium heat, and add tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, and oregano. Cook until all the water is gone and tomato sauce starts to thicken.
  • When done, add tuna and 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese. Stir everything until combined.
  • Serve in a bowl or a shallow plate and sprinkle with 1/2 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy your Quick Easy Tuna Pasta!
