Homemade Almond Butter
With the current situation in the world, people are not visiting supermarkets that often. At least, that’s the case with us! We tend to buy only the basic ingredients and not waste the time finding things we can make on our own. This is how we came to the idea to make today’s recipe – Homemade Almond Butter!
It’s super easy to make! What is most important is that we used just one ingredient – pure almonds, nothing else! Most nut butter that you can buy at the grocery store have salt, oil, and other additional ingredients added.
For this recipe, we used roasted almonds. There are two types of roasting that you can do. One is oven-roasting and the other is pan or stove roasting. We decided to do a quicker version coz we haven’t used a lot of almonds. There is no difference we can assure you, the taste is the same. Use the roasting method that suits you the best.
Using the same method you can make any nut butter you want, peanut butter, hazelnut butter, sunflower butter! No matter what you choose, you’ll make an amazingly delicious vegan butter. If you like this recipe let us know.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cup (about 200 g) raw almonds
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add raw almond into a large pan, and roast over medium heat. Stir once in a while. Roast for about 10 minutes or until they started to change the color. You can always taste test it to see if almonds are roasted enough.
- Let them cool for about 5 minutes until they are warm, not hot!
- Add roasted almonds into a food processor and process on medium until creamy. Make sure that you are pausing to scrape down the sides as necessary. If you are not using a powerful high-speed processor or blender you’ll have to pause for 2 minutes to let the device cool down a bit. The more you process, the smoother the texture of the butter would be.
- When done, transfer the mixture to a prepared jar or another dish.
- Serve and enjoy your Homemade Almond Butter!
