Nutella Almond Crepes – Pancakes

Hello Everyone! Amazingly delicious Nutella Almond Crepes are on today’s menu! 🙂 These are very easy to make, quick, and are so flavorful. We changed a bit the original crepes recipe by using almond milk and excluding butter. This is the recipe we are making for years and, for us, it’s the best one for crepes.

Before you start with this recipe we have two important tips for you:

  • The most important thing to have in mind while making crepes or pancakes is to have a very good non-stick pan. This is essential. If you use just a regular pan, they will stick to the bottom and you won’t be able to flip them.
  • Always add more milk than water. If you don’t do that, they will stick the same as in the previous tip.

Almond Nutella Crepes
Prep time: 5 min   Cook time: 15 min   Total: 20 min   Servings: 1-2

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup (63 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup (55 ml) almond milk
  • about 1/2 cup (100 ml) water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil

FILLING

  • 5 tablespoons Nutella
  • 5 teaspoons chopped almonds

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a large mixing bowl, add flour, eggs, milk, and salt. Whisk together until you reach thick and creamy mixture. Gradually add water, stirring to combine, until you reach pancake batter consistency. (to too thick and not too watery)
  • Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium-high heat. Scoop the batter onto the pan using a ladle. The amount of the batter depends on the size of your pan. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly. If you haven’t added enough of the batter, simply add a little more and tilt the pan again. Try not to add too much of the mixture, otherwise, they won’t be thin enough and will look more like American pancakes.
  • Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes each side (flip after 2 minutes), until the bottom is light brown. We got 5 crepes from this mixture.
  • When done, fill with Nutella and chopped almonds. 1 tablespoon of Nutella + one teaspoon of chopped almonds per crepe. Fold them into the triangles or just roll them as we did.
  • Serve and enjoy your Nutella Almond Crepes – Pancakes!
