Rice Flakes Porridge

For today’s recipe, we have something super delicious to share with you. Rice Flakes Porridge is one of Darko’s favorite healthy desserts. It’s super quick and easy to make, not too sweet, but still, perfect to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.

If you are looking for a semi-sweet dessert, or light breakfast, this recipe is the best choice for you. To make today’s porridge we used rice flakes. Using regular rice will take a lot of time, so why not using flakes to speed the things.
Rice Flakes Porridge
One of the things we love about this recipe is that it’s a great alternative to oats, it’s naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, and perfect for vegans. I personally love eating Rice Flakes Porridge as breakfast, it’s so light on the stomach, which is a go-to when it comes to breakfast.

Rice Porridge
Prep time: 2 min   Cook time: 3 min   Total: 5 min   Servings: 1




 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 tablespoons (about 1/2 cup) rice flakes
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (we used almond)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1/3 teaspoon cinnamon

TOPPING

  • 1 large strawberry (sliced)
  • hemp hearts (to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a small size saucepan, add rice flakes, non-dairy milk, cinnamon, and maple syrup (or honey). Put a saucepan over medium heat and bring to boil. Stir constantly until the mixture starts to thicken. 
  • Transfer the mixture into a small bowl. Add sliced strawberry on top and sprinkle with some hemp hearts.
  • Enjoy your Rice Flakes Porridge!
