Simple Pumpkin Dessert

For today’s recipe, we have something anyone can make, this is why we called our new recipe Simple Pumpkin Dessert. To be honest, we don’t know if something like this already exists, but for now, let’s say that we “invented” this recipe. 🙂

If you are asking yourselves how we came up with the idea, let’s say that one us has sweet tooth all the time :), and apparently we run out of sweets one day. Luckily we had some leftover pumpkin (cold), but we didn’t care, we added honey and cinnamon, and voila, the sweet tooth was satisfied! After a few days, we tried this recipe with warm pumpkin, and it was a huge difference, it was a perfect dessert!

We would like you to try it, it’s a budget-friendly dessert, simple, and delicious!

This recipe is not vegan only because we used honey. To make it vegan, use maple syrup instead.

  • 1 roasted pumpkin slice per serving
  • 2 teaspoons of honey per serving
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon per serving

INSTRUCTIONS

  • (If you know how to roast pumpkin or you already have one prepared, feel free to skip this step) How to roast a pumpkin: Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Lay a parchment paper into a baking dish and set aside. Wash and cut the pumpkin into slices and transfer into a baking dish. Let it roast for 40-45 minutes. • When done, let it cool for about 5 minutes. Transfer each slice into a serving plate, slice it into small pieces (optional).
  • Add honey or maple syrup on top of each slice and sprinkle with some cinnamon.
  • Serve warm! Enjoy your delicious Pumpkin Dessert.

NOTES

  • We’ve roasted whole pumpkin and got exactly 6 servings.
  • If you want to change things a bit, try adding raisins, and pumpkin spice instead of cinnamon!
