Tofu Chocolate Mousse Recipe

If you’ve never had silken Tofu Chocolate Mousse before, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by this recipe! It’s luscious, rich, silky smooth, creamy, and ridiculously simple to make. You’d never guess it’s vegan, gluten-free, egg-free, or dairy-free. Ideal for a little after-dinner dessert or a healthy snack. One of our most favorite vegan chocolate mousse until now was definitely the Cashew Chocolate Mousse, but after making this one, we can call it tie :).
We’ve never used tofu in sweets before, so this is a first for us, and we’re obsessed. You must give it a go! Stay tuned, since we will undoubtedly make more sweets with it.

Tofu Chocolate Mousse
Because this dessert is rich in protein, we recommend dividing it into 3-4 servings. Our Chocolate Mousse is really satisfying, and with only four ingredients, the recipe is super simple to prepare. Even if you are not into vegan recipes, this one is a keeper!

Chocolate Mousse
Prep time: 2 h   Cook time: 3 min   Total: 5 min   Servings: 3-4




 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 10.6 oz (300g) silken tofu
  • 4 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 2/3 cup (220g) coconut syrup (or other liquid sweetener)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

TOPPING INGREDIENTS (Optional)

  • pomegranate seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add tofu, cacao powder, coconut syrup, and vanilla extract to a high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  • If the mixture is not smooth or you have problems blending it you can add more coconut syrup or almond milk but make sure to add a tablespoon at a time until you reach the your desired consistency.
  • Transfer the mixture to a prepared glass or another dish. Add pomegranate seeds on top (optional). 
  • Serve your Tofu Chocolate Mousse right away or refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes and enjoy the chilled version of the recipe!
