Vegan Avocado Chocolate Mousse
Have you ever heard of a healthy chocolate mousse? No? Well, let us introduce you with your new healthy dessert, Vegan Avocado Chocolate Mousse! It’s made from avocados and cocoa powder. Still not convinced? You are probably asking yourself: “How it is possible to have a chocolate mousse from avocados?”
It is, and it’s absolutely the best vegan dessert we’ve ever tried. Guess what? Avocado Chocolate mousse is one of those recipes you want to make over and over again!
As you already know, we are not vegans, but we enjoy vegan food. As huge chocolate lovers, we can tell you that there is no difference in taste from a regular dairy mousse. Except that Avocado Mousse is creamier and healthier for you. No guilt! 🙂
This recipe can be modified in many ways, you can experiment with adding chopped nuts, or dried fruit, and take this mousse to another level. Avocado Chocolate Mousse is 100% vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free recipe. Perfect for vegans!

INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 ripe avocados (around 180g)
- 6-7 slightly dried dates – pitted and roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder or raw cacao powder
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)

- pistachios
INSTRUCTIONS
- Soak the dates in water for 10 minutes to soften. In a blender (or a food processor) add avocados, dates, cocoa powder, and half of the almond milk. Scrape down the sides of the jug a few times, and add the rest of the liquid. You might need more liquid depending on the size of the avocados. If the mixture is not sweet enough for you, add maple syrup to taste and blend again.
- Serve and garnish with your favorite topping of choice. We chose pistachios!
