INGREDIENTS
- 10 oz (280g) semisweet chocolate (naturally sweetened)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) full-fat coconut milk
- about 1/4 cup (45g) chopped hazelnuts
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional!)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Finely chop chocolate and transfer into a medium-size bowl.
- In a separate heat resistant bowl add the coconut milk and heat until warm (not boiling). Immediately transfer it to the bowl with the chocolate and stir until smooth and creamy. We suggest you taste the mixture at this point. If it’s not sweet enough for you, add maple syrup, this depends on your taste. Stir everything again.
- When done, cover with plastic foil, or lid and put in the fridge for about 2-3 hours at least. Use an ice-cream scoop to form balls. Roll each ball into a chopped hazelnut.
- Serve and enjoy Vegan Chocolate Hazelnut Truffles!
NOTES
- Make sure your hands are not warm when you are rolling the ball into hazelnuts if you want to have a perfectly formed ball. Ours were a bit warm so the ball lost their shape a bit. If you don’t mind about it, like we don’t this is not that important :).
- We got about 15-16 Vegan Chocolate Hazelnut Truffles from this mixture.
