Vegan Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe
Vegan mayonnaise sounds strange, doesn’t it? However, it tastes exactly like the regular one! It has the same texture, flavor, and is completely plant-based! This dish only requires three basic ingredients: soy milk, neutral oil, and salt. However, we added a few of additional ingredients to enhance the flavors and make this Vegan Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe the best we’ve ever tasted.
Even though this recipe is vegan, it does not signify that it is lower in calories. Remember that the main ingredient is neutral oil, so don’t eat the whole thing at once, no matter how delicious it is :D.
The main reason why we decided to make our own mayo is because of the two things: 1. less expensive and 2. no added preservatives or other unhealthy ingredients! We don’t know what else might be a good reason to avoid buying mayo in grocery stores if these aren’t enough! 🙂
This recipe is 100% vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free! It tastes like a real deal!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup (240 ml) neutral oil (grapeseed or sunflower oil)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) organic unsweetened soy milk
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt per taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Before you start with the recipe make sure that all your ingredients are at room temperature.
- Add all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend on high for about 1 minute. Pause and check the thickness of the mayonnaise. Repeat the process until you reach creamy texture.
- If you don’t have a high speed blender don’t use regular because you won’t get the right results. Instead use food processor. It might take more time to process but you’ll get there..
- Transfer the mixture to a prepared jar or another dish.
