Caramelized Cinnamon Bananas

Hello Everyone! For today’s recipe we have one of our oldest desserts, that we’ve been preparing for years. Somehow we never shared it with you, but if you are craving for something sweet, our Caramelized Cinnamon Bananas are perfect dessert for you.

We tend to avoid buying sweets at grocery stores mainly because they are full of so many bad ingredients, where some of them can cause a real damage to our health if consumed regularly. That’s the reason why we like preparing our own sweets and trying to make them as natural as possible. 🙂
Caramelized Cinnamon Bananas
Our Caramelized Cinnamon Bananas are so sweet and contain only a couple of natural ingredients. Instead of regular sugar, we used coconut sugar. When ripe, bananas can add extra sweetness, which we did to make this super sweet dessert.

Vegan Caramelized Bananas
Prep time: 5 min   Cook time: 3 – 4 min   Total: 8 – 9 min   Servings: 2




 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 2/3 teaspoon cinnamon
  • olive oil or nonstick oil spray (to slightly grease the cooking pan)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a small bowl combine coconut sugar and cinnamon. Stir until combined. Set aside. 
  • Slice bananas into rounds (approximately 1/4 inch thick). Dip each banana peace into a cinnamon mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly.
  • Slightly grease a cooking pan (or spray it) and put over low – medium heat. Add banana coated banana round. Cook for about 2 minutes then flip them over and cook on the other sides for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  • Divide bananas into two portions and serve with the way you like. We recommend serving with coconut cream or pudding. But serving them on their own will satisfy all your sweet cravings.
