Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

Over the last couple of years, we shared with you so many smoothie bowl recipes. Smoothie is by far my favorite breakfast of all time (Darko is more into granola or oatmeal). And being a chocolate flavor fan you can only imagine how much I love Chocolate Smoothie Bowl.

There are several chocolate smoothies on our website, but none of them are like this one. This amazing smoothie recipe has a rich chocolate texture thanks to two types of cacao that we used, Arriba Nacional and Criollo cacao. They are full of nutrients and are made using the best cacao in the world.
Chocolate Smoothie Bowl
The base of this smoothie is mixed greens, that we basically add to all of our smoothie recipes. To make the recipe healthier we added 2 large sticks of celery and blackberries. Celery has so many benefits that are good for your body, it’s one of the best sources of antioxidants. Avocado and banana are there to make the smoothie creamier and give some natural sweetness to it. Superfoods that we used are maca powder and hemp hearts.

Healthy Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 fresh banana
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 5 large blackberries
  • 2 cups mixed baby greens (baby spinach, baby kale, baby lettuce)
  • 2 large celery sticks (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
  • 2 teaspoon Criollo cacao
  • 1 teaspoon Arriba National cacao
  • 2 teaspoon hemp hearts
  • 1 teaspoon hazelnut butter
  • about 5.1 fl oz (150 ml) almond milk or water – add more if necessary

TOPPING (optional)

  • raspberries
  • coconut flakes
  • mulberries
  • cacao nibs

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add all smoothie ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour everything into a bowl. Add topping ingredients. We haven’t specified the amount of the topping ingredients. This depends on you, and how many toppings you want, and what amount.
