I was someone who wasn’t very interested in vegetable smoothies and I always knew all the benefits they have but I just didn’t like the taste :).

I was experimenting a lot with the ingredients and here I present you, for me, the best Green Smoothie Bowl Recipe that includes spinach, broccoli, parsley, cucumber, and pineapple.

If you want this recipe to be less thick just add more water and you’ll get a refreshing and delicious drink!

In this Green Smoothie Bowl Recipe, I added chia seeds on top. Did you know that chia seeds can expand up to 12 times its weight in water? Now imagine all that happening in your stomach! I am sure you don’t want that. This is why it’s very important, if you add them on top, to stir well and to let them expand at least 30 minutes. This way you’ll avoid flatulent stomach.




 

Chia seeds are very healthy and they contain more calcium than milk. This recipe is perfect for everyone who eats dairy-free diet because it’s 100% vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free!

INGREDIENTS (Smoothie)

  • 1/4 cup (55g) fresh pineapple
  • 1/2 small cucumber
  • 1/3 cup (60g) broccoli florets
  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • handful of spinach
  • approx 1 fl oz (30ml) water (or less depending on how thick you want the smoothie to be)

TOPPING (Optional)

  • 1 tablespoon goji berries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon mix of sliced walnuts and hazelnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon hemp hearts

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add all smoothie ingredients (pineapple, cucumber, broccoli, parsley, peanut butter, spinach, and water) to a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  • Transfer everything to a bowl.
  • Add all of the topping ingredients and stir everything well and let it sit for 30 minutes for chia seed to expand.
